Resumen:
This document presents the feasibility study carried out for a local bussines named “Variedades Nuevo Estilo”, a family business, which hopes to formalize and expand its operation in the next five years based on the experience acquired during ten years of informal commercialization of home decoration products and bed such as: sheets, duvets, veils, duvets, orthopedic and semi-orthopedic pillows, curtains, towels, among others.
To accomplish, it was necessary to carry out different studies that allowed to obtain important data, the studies carried out were market research in which surveys to a sample of 271 people, from which a potential demand of 17,344 clients was obtained. With the above information, initial and future income were projected. Likewise, technical, administrative and legal studies were carried out in which the operating conditions, customer service, and organizational structure, among others, were established.
Finally, the financial study was carried out, which collects the information established in the studies mentioned above and translates it into two evaluation indicators such as the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and the Net Present Value (NPV) of the project.
The result obtained indicates that the project is viable since, given the projection and structuring conditions, a net present value of $ 12,301,055.91 and an IRR of 19.89% are estimated, which is higher than the weighted average cost of capital.

El presente documento expone el estudio de factibilidad realizado para la empresa Variedades Nuevo Estilo, empresa familiar, que espera formalizar y expandir su operación en los próximos cinco años apoyándose en la experiencia adquirida durante diez años de comercialización informal de productos para la decoración de cama y el hogar como son: sábanas, edredones, velos, plumones, duvets, almohadas ortopédicas y semi-ortopédicas, cortinas, toallas, entre otros.
